My Story

I grew up in Tahoe and moved to Reno for college—and just never left. Something about Northern Nevada gets in your blood. The high desert, the mountains, the pace of life. This is home now.

I'm Alex Szendrey, a construction photographer serving Northern Nevada with a perspective most photographers can't offer: I have a Bachelor of Science in Geological Engineering and spent eight years as a construction inspector at Lumos & Associates before picking up a camera professionally.

That background changes everything. I don't just show up and take pretty pictures—I understand what matters on a job site. I know which details need to be documented, which angles tell the story, and what your clients, stakeholders, and team actually need to see. When you're pouring a foundation at 6 AM or coordinating a critical lift, I'm not in the way asking what's happening. I already know.

I combine professional photography, FAA-licensed drone coverage, and video documentation into a complete package. Ground shots that showcase your craftsmanship. Aerials that capture site context and progress. Video walkthroughs that bring projects to life. All delivered fast, because I know construction timelines don't wait for anyone.

I shoot with Sony mirrorless systems and professional drone equipment, carry $1M liability insurance, and deliver edited files within 24-48 hours. Whether you need weekly progress updates, marketing content for proposals, or documentation for stakeholders, I provide the quality and reliability your projects deserve.

Currently working with Sierra Nevada Construction, Martin Harris Construction, Lumos & Associates, and Palisade Engineering across Northern Nevada and ready to travel for the right projects.

These days I'm based in Reno with my wife and our three-year-old daughter, who's already learning the family business. She comes to job sites when she can, asks about cameras and drones, and is picking up more about construction photography than most adults know. By the time she's a teenager, she'll probably be running circles around me.

Building something here—both the business and the legacy—feels right. Northern Nevada has been good to me, and I'm committed to serving the people building its future.

Let's document your next project.
